How it works

Chartering a chapter.

Young Republican chapters are chartered through the state federation, which in Colorado is the Colorado Federation of Young Republicans. Broomfield, as its own consolidated city and county, qualifies as its own chapter rather than folding into a neighbor.

To affiliate we need a founding roster of dues-paying members, an elected officer slate, adopted bylaws, and a relationship with the county party. That last one is our advantage. We are the county party.

Timeline from first coffee to charter is usually two to four months.

Age

Registered members ages 18 to 40.

Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer at minimum.

$19 a year, paid through the state federation.

Membership runs through the Colorado Federation of Young Republicans at $19 per year. Low cost is a recruiting asset, and a paid member is a committed member. We make the ask every time, because people show up to things they've paid for.

First things first

Make sure you're registered.

Everything downstream depends on this. Check your registration, update your address if you've moved, and confirm your party affiliation with the Colorado Secretary of State. In Colorado, unaffiliated voters can still pull a Republican primary ballot.
